"A most enjoyable meal and successful evening was recently spent by our choir of 30 people at The Bull Inn, Charlbury.

The Proprietors reserved the entire restaurant and lounge area for our use. Whilst a wild evening raged outside, we were wonderfully snug and comfortable with a warming log fire in the large inglenook fireplace.

The food was delicious, many commented on the ‘wonderful meal’ and the real ale connoisseurs made a point of extolling the virtues of ‘excellent beer’.

We are very grateful to Alix Blumsom (Proprietor) and her Chef who happily liased with myself to ‘tailor make’ everything to suit our requirements. Several telephone calls made by myself during the booking period were consistently received most courteously and helpfully by all concerned.

We were impressed with the great empathy and support Alix gave to one of our group who needed to make prior arrangements for unusual health requirements.

Situated in the heart of Charbury village, The Bull Inn is a charming old stone building with a warmly welcoming atmosphere. The building is very well maintained throughout and sympathetically preserves the original character and style. Whilst eventually a provisional Bed and Breakfast booking was not required by one of our group, the high standard in The Bull certainly extended upstairs, the bedroom Alix showed me being lovely, light, pristine and newly refurbished. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation is also remarkably reasonably priced.

Not only did we have helpful service and a most pleasurable evening – suitably wined and dined – but as an organiser, the degree of support given to myself by Alix from the initial enquiry onwards, was refreshingly efficient, enthusiastic, friendly, professional and gratefully received by myself.
